Homaar is a Belgian non-profit organization that serves as a "growth space" for young people aged 15 to 23 with mental health vulnerabilities. It was founded in 2016 out of a shared passion by professionals in child and youth psychiatry who wanted to create a low-threshold, non-stigmatizing space, offering accessible group support for adolescents. Hereby addressing the increasing need of mental health initiatives for young people.

“I haven’t felt this good, calm, and accepted in a long time. Going to Homaar truly saved me from one of the hardest times in my life. Connecting with the other young people made me feel less alone. It was an amazing experience!”

‘’Through Homaar, I’ve learned to accept that it’s okay to ask for help, and that mental health matters more than school at some point. Now it’s easier for me to reach out, and I feel less ashamed about it.”
